EMPLOYBILITY SKILL TRAINING PROGRAM AND PLACEMENT DRIVE


Vidhyarthini Manch organized the “Employability Skill Training Program and Placement Drive”   for 3 days in collaboration with Labournet Social Enterprise.  This workshop was organized from 1st  to 3rd February for faculty of Arts, Science and Commerce, Computer Science. The first two days was Skill Training Program with interactive session was conducted by Mr. Saeed, Corporate Trainer along with Mr. Yogesh from Labournet.  Dr. Swaleha Pathan, Vice chairperson of Vidhyarthini Manch and  Dr. Sajid Hundekar, committee member of Vidhayrthini Manch, delivered motivational speech to participants of more than 76+
 The workshop included interactive sessions on how to prepare for the interviews, how to dress up and how to face the interview, writing of resume and biodata, browsing of information about companies. The workshop encouraged the participation of students.  The question answer session was followed by each session. Some motivational films and short stories were shown to students. The active participation from students made the workshop successful.
Third day various companies like Relaince, Teamlease & MD India, representative visited the college to interview and place the students in their companies. Many students experienced the interview sessions and got the placement letter and will join after their graduation. Students enthusiastically participated in job interviews. The workshop was successful in carrying out the 3 days session. More than 93 students filled the form and was beneficiaries[sp1]  of this placement drive. Mr. Rashid Khan, Mr. Taufique Shaikh, Mr. Shashank Jain & Mr. Sharad from Labournet Social Enterprise were present throughout the session. Vidhyarthini Manch committee member Dr. Sajid Hundekar consistent efforts and support is appreciated & Mrs. Mulla supported the placement Drive.

Intercollegiate Psychology Exhibition Psy-spectrum

First Prize winner from Poona College awarded by Chief Guest Dr. Mahesh Deshmukh The Department of Psychology had organized the Intercollegiate Psychology Exhibition Psy-Spectrum 2018 on Monday 17 th  September 2018.the aim of the exhibition was to bring out the talent among students and bring awareness of spectrum of psychology among all    faculty teaching staff, Non-Teaching staff and students. Wide spectrum of psychology field was displayed by various college students. In all total 8 colleges participated in this exhibition. Abeda Inamdar Senior College, Shri Shau Mandir Mahavidyalaya, S.N.D.T College for Women, Modern College, St. Mira’s Girls College, Junior College of    Poona college and    Maharashtra College from Mumbai had participated and displayed their creations. REPORT ON INTERACTIVE SESSION OF GUEST LECTURE:

The interactive session of guest lecture was organized by Department of Psychology on ‘Interpersonal Relationship and Communication’ by Dr. Alka Wadkar, Ex-Professor of Savitribai Phule Pune University and Gold Medalist of Kolhapur university, on 5 th December 2017.The student beneficiaries were   40+ by this session. Dr. Alka wadkar explained the importance of communication: verbal and non-verbal  communication, its advantages and disadvantages. She explained how communication plays important role in enhancing interpersonal relationship. She interacted with students and gave various examples to have clear understanding of topic at hand. She motivated the students to improve communication skills in turn interpersonal relationships. She played simulation technique with students so that they will  understand the errors made in communication. Psychology students enjoyed the interactive session.
